coordination + edition (bi-annual publication)


The VERSUS zine is a biannual publication supporting independent and emerging culture through presentations of artists and art spaces. Each edition is symbolically designed as a catalog of artistic identities, published at a meaningful moment in the careers of the participants. These presentations highlight contemporary motivations that stand out from the crowd and actively contribute to their ongoing professional growth.
Additionally, the publication curates a cultural agenda that gathers events and programming from independent art spaces across Switzerland.
Beyond showcasing talented artists, the project aims to widely introduce diverse mediums, contemporary reflections, and relevant exhibition spaces within the cultural scene. It strives to create connections between different cities and linguistic networks in Switzerland.
Each issue ensures thoughtful inclusivity across a wide range of practices related to visual arts. By doing so, it maintains the interest of both art enthusiasts and creators, offering critical perspectives on these activities.
The project is committed to the visibility of its presentations and adheres to humanist values, including feminist principles. Its selection always includes at least half gender minorities (TINFA).
